Week of 12/3: Pride and Prejudice, Hamlet wrap up, Poetry intro

Tuesday, 12/3:

1. Pride and Prejudice Fishbowl. If you were absent, you must complete the makeup assignment by Tuesday, 12/10.
2. Hamlet MC quiz. If you were absent for this quiz, see me to arrange making it up Wednesday morning in the student support center or in your Guided Study class.

Thursday, 12/4:

1. Timed writing workshop. We reviewed the second timed write and chose which essay to submit for a summative grade. If you were absent, see me ASAP to tell me which essay you'd like to submit for a summative grade.
2. Intro to poetry.
• We watched and discussed this video
• We attempted to reconstruct a poem

Homework due Monday:

1. Review the rubric for the project
2. Post written work for your Fever Chart to Teams BEFORE 8 am
3. Bring a printed copy of your written work + your fever chart product to class to display

Wednesday, 11/27: Timed Write + Book Group

Today we did our second timed write. Next week you will have a workshop on the writing and pick one timed write to submit for a summative grade.

Then we had really fast book group meetings. Someone from your book group should have uploaded your reading schedule to your channel. Make sure you are reading and getting ready for your first book group meeting! You are completing a summative book group leader task ONE time, so make sure you know when that is happening and that you complete that work on time.

Homework:

1. Pride & Prejudice entry ticket due to Teams on 12/2 by 11:59 pm
2. P&P entry ticket printed out due in class on 12/3 for fishbowl discussion.
3. Fever chart due due to Teams 12/9 by 8 am and in hand in class.
4. Book group leader work due dates vary. Check your channel in Teams!
